Alaska RR Passenger Train Running Along Turnagain Arm

Back in '50 and '51 we used to ride the train to Seward. Rode it Whitter once in the Winter of 1950 to board a ship to Seattle. There was a *small* avalanche which covered the tracks and kept us snowbound for nearly 12 hours. I thought it was quite an adventure. My mother wasn't quite as amused!
